概要 OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to compare fetal fractions (FFs) during NIPT in singleton pregnancies by gestational age and maternal characteristics, evaluating its utility for predicting complications like gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP).

STUDY DESIGN: This multicenter prospective cohort study collected data from women with negative NIPT results. Relationships between FFs and gestational age, maternal weight/height, and incidences of miscarriage, preterm delivery, GDM, HDP, and placental abruption were assessed.

RESULTS: Among 5,582 registered women with negative NIPT results, demographic analysis showed that those with HDP tended to have low FFs during early gestation. The area under the curve (AUC) in a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was 0.608 for women with HDP.

CONCLUSION: A low FF on NIPT might correlate with future HDP. However, predicting HDP during early pregnancy based on a low FF remains difficult.
