| 概要 | OBJECTIVE: This study evaluated whether microRNA-17 and -19b are expressed in early pregnancy villous samples and if their expression, along with targets (PTEN, CREB-1, TGF$\beta$-1, TGF$\beta$-RII), is altered in early pregnancy loss.STUDY DESIGN: Expression levels in villous samples from early pregnancy loss ($n=11$) and gestational age-matched normal cases ($n=20$) were determined by RT-PCR.RESULTS: Both microRNA-17 and -19b were expressed in normal pregnancies but significantly down-regulated in early pregnancy loss (ratios: 0.35 and 0.34). Their target, PTEN mRNA, was significantly up-regulated (ratio: 2.6). TGF-$\beta$1, CREB-1, and TGF$\beta$-RII showed no significant differences.CONCLUSION: microRNA-17 and -19b are expressed in early pregnancy and down-regulated in early pregnancy loss. These microRNA-17-92 cluster members may be involved in placental invasion, and their dysregulation could relate to defective placentation conditions. |
