概要	We present a case of comminuted sternal fracture with posterior displacement, which was successfully repaired by 'sandwich' fixation using 2 bioresorbable plates that were placed anterior to and posterior to the sternum. All procedures including retro-sternal dissection for placement of the posterior plate were performed using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. The minimally invasive thoracoscopic technique provided effective repair and rigid fixation with immediate relief from intractable chest pain that had persisted before surgery.
